Current Favorites

Wow. It has been a while since I posted here. Instead of trying to explain how I've been crazy busy lately (the usual) I'll just jump right into this new post.
With the change of seasons comes my favorite time for fashion. Late spring/summer style has to be my favorite because of the flowy dresses and lacy crop tops I get to wear. Below, I'm listing my current favorite to jumpstart your summer style:

1. Dresses: anyone who knows me totally saw this one coming. Dresses are and  will always be my favorite clothing item because they are so effortless and comfortable but still make you look put together (I mean come on, you don't have to wear pants. Am I right ladies?). Find ones in soft flowy fabrics that can be dressed up or down.

2. Fake tans: okay hear me out on this one; a natural looking (key word: natural) fake tan is so much better than going out in the sun or a tanning bed. I'm especially careful since skin cancer runs in my family, but I think it's important that everyone takes care of their skin and avoids the harmful UV rays. My favorite self tanner is Jergens Natural Glow.

3. Skincare: as important as it is to take care of your skin all year, I find it especially important this time of year because I find myself going out makeup-free much more often. Lately I've been loving my St. Ives Blackhead Clearing Scrub  with green tea. It's so good.

4. The Beachwaver: I bought my Sarah Potempa Beachwaver back in December and have been totally obsessed ever since. I was so hesitant to splurge on it for a long time and finally decided to buy one with my first paycheck from my new (at the time) job. It heats up very fast and makes gorgeous natural looking curls. Use it over straightened hair for a looser, wavier look.

5. Senior Year(!!!): I still cannot even believe that I'm at this point. High school really was the fastest and best 4 years of my life so far. With about a month left of school, my time here has almost come to an end. It's bittersweet; as excited as I am to go to college and start this new chapter of my life I am so sad to leave behind everyone and everything I've ever known. From seeing my friends in school to random late night Target snack runs, I know I'm going to miss it so so much. All I can do is try to make the most of each day I have left and try to end school with no regrets.

Hope you're all doing well!
xoxo Carli
