Things I'm Loving This Week
Hey everyone!
So for this week's post, I wanted to share some things I've been loving lately. Some are fashion related and others are just random things I've been obsessing over. I hope you enjoy it:
1. Tales from the Back Row: This. Book. Is. Amazing. If you have even the slightest interest in either fashion or writing I recommend you read this book! Amy Odell, current editor at Cosmopolitan.com, tells of her experiences working in fashion and journalism, all in a funny and sarcastic tone. This book has been sitting on my shelf since last Christmas and I'm so glad I've finally had the time to read it.
2. Heels: Okay, this might seem like an obvious one. I have always loved wearing heels, especially block heels or heeled boots for autumn, but sometimes they make me self conscious of my height. I'm already 5'7 and tower over (most of) my friends. Lately I've decided to just embrace it and wear whatever shoes I want. I don't mind being the tallest one in the room as long as my shoes are cute:)
3. Sunglasses: I know the season is over here in New Jersey and that I'm a few months late, but I have been obsessed with these Target sunglasses lately (under $20!!!!). I bought them in September and have worn them countless times since then. I was recently in Florida and loved that I got to break them out one more time in 2017.
4. Over the knee boots: I'm sure you all know by now that over the knee boots are a fashion girl's must-have come fall weather. My favorites are my Marilyn boots from DV (similar here); I love them so much that I bought them in brown too after I received black ones for Christmas last year. DV is a branch of Dolce Vita in collaboration with Target. I own several pairs of DV shoes and absolutely love them! They all fall in an affordable price range and are just as cute as their more expensive Dolce Vita counterparts.
5. reputation: I'm probably biased since I've been a fan of Taylor Swift since elementary school, when my best friend and I auditioned for our school talent show singing "Love Story" (s/o to Lauren), but this album is phenomenal! To be honest, I was not sure if I was going to like it when the singles were released, but I am completely obsessed with this album. My favorites are "Delicate", "Getaway Car", and "New Years Day". I bought the reputation magazine (it includes the album) at Target and it only made me love the album more, seeing her paintings and what she has to say about the album. I've been blasting it in my car all week. Taylor is and forever will be my idol *mic drop*.
6. Christmas: We all know that one person who absolutely lives for Christmas. It's safe to say that I'm that person with my friends. If I had my way, I'd be putting up lights in September. It's not so much the holiday itself as it is the whole Christmas season. The good cheer is contagious. I can not wait for cozy December nights drinking hot chocolate and watching Christmas movies. Who's with me?☃️❄️🎄🎅🏻☃️🎄🎅🏻❄️🎄☃️🎅🏻
