2018 Goals
Hey everyone!
Sorry for the complete lack in posts lately! I've been crazy busy with school, college applications, and work. Today, I wanted to write about something I'm sure you have already read about this week. Nevertheless, I wanted to share my input and goals for the New Year.
I don't exactly believe in New Years resolutions; if you really want to make a change in your life you should do it regardless of the date on the calendar. Many people use New Years resolutions as an excuse for putting off a goal until the end of December. Rather than focus on resolutions, I prefer to set goals for the year ahead. Whereas a resolution is typically something you want to change about yourself, a goal is a task you wish to accomplish that does not necessarily have to do with a new exercise regimen or a crazy diet.
1. Improve my content: When I first started Carlianne's Closet, I knew I wanted to post quality content for my followers and put 100% of myself into it. Part of that has to do with good quality pictures for my Instagram. For Christmas, I asked for a new camera, and Santa delivered! I hope that by having a better quality camera than the iPhone 6 I was previously shooting on, I can provide you with better content and improve the quality of my blog.
2. Get in to college: Obviously, this is a big one. As a senior in high school, I am constantly faced with questions about where I plan to go to school next year and what I want to do with my life. I consider myself very lucky because I have always had a general idea of what I want to do as a career. Now that the application process is over, I am excited to hear back from my schools and decide where I want to spend my next 4 years.
3. Be present: As I am reaching the halfway point of my senior year, I am becoming more and more aware of how fleeting my time here is. I have never been a fan of change, and am often times nervous about the future. However, I intend to make the most of each and every second I have left at home and to embrace my next chapter with open arms.
Wishing you all a safe and happy 2018.
Xoxo Carli
